Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

UK Remote Based with Visits to the Hampshire Office

£ 50,000 circa (Dependent on Experience) + Bonus + Pension + Holidays + Car Allowance + PD & Training

Reports to Head of Sales

Our client, a technology and payment solutions company based in the UK is looking for a Sales Manager to join their ranks and aid in the business growth going into the latter end of 2021. Their key solutions include point of sale, payment and loyalty solutions and they have a range of products and solutions to aid retail nationally and internationally.  

The business has a wide range of customers from the small 1 site independents up to the major retailers with multiple (hundreds) of sites. The sales management of these customers and generation of new business is central to the long-term success and growth of the business

Responsibilities:

  • You will report to the Head of Sales for the business focusing on and selling key product sets around EMS (Enterprise Management Systems), payment solutions & technology consultancy services
  • Understand the business Strategies for the sales team as shared by the Head of Sales
  • Understand the needs of the various customer profiles and consultatively sell products and services to match client needs
  • Be clear as to the benefits of the products to match the customer requirements
  • Instigate a communication plan based on the HubSpot targets and your own contacts
  • Deliver sales pitches to the customers by video, face to face and presentations
  • To exceed targets monthly and overall to ensure business growth
  • Ensure the contracts are negotiated to maximise the profit and margins where possible
  • Provide a feedback loop to enable continuous process improvement

 

You will have:

  • A history of successful sales experience in a consultative B2B tech environment
  • Exposure to planning and project management in a technical environment
  • Exceptional presentation and pitching skills for new business and maximizing on existing accounts
  • Strong commercial acumen and be tech savvy and innovative with ideas for your client base and prospects
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills with all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Exposure to a technology led organization where tech is the heart of driving a business
  • Financial understanding to enable account profitability to be understood
  • A hunger and excitement to work for a fast-growing business
  • A willingness to roll-up sleeves, be flexible, and take responsibility on all account related matters
  • Have a self-starter mentality & a sense of fun in the workplace
