Sales Administrator

£20k - £22k per annum DOE

Based in Havant  - Full Time Hours

My client, a manufacturing company based in Havant is looking for a Sales Administrator to work in their busy and friendly team.Your role will be to support the UK sales team with their daily activities and enquiries and to generate new business in support of the sales team plus under their own initiative by servicing new enquiries and progressing quotes with the sales team.

Day to Day Duties include:  

  • Follow-up opportunity pipe-line, work with sales managers with a view to convert opportunities in to orders.
  • Engage with designers, specifiers and contractors with a view to generating and/or converting a quotation.
  • Carry out all quotation follow-up calls where required.
  • Update all contact on the CRM system and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Receive incoming sales related enquiries by phone and email and log accordingly for the sales team.
  • Support and liaise with the company’s estimating department relating to building design and construction contractor enquiries and quotation requests.
  • Carry out any sales and marketing administration duties when and where required by the company.
  • Support visits by customers, designers and authority bodies to the company’s premises and/or reference sites.

  • Engage with designers, specifiers and contractors with a view to generating and/or converting a quotation.
  • Carry out all quotation follow-up calls where required.
  • Feedback to the business and CRM on competitor activity.
  • Receive incoming sales related enquiries.
  • Support and liaise with the company’s marketing department relating to requests for product information, web leads, PR opportunities and exhibitions/CPD opportunities.
  • Carry out additional work responsibilities when considered necessary by the management.

 

Key Results Areas:

  • Expected CRM levels of accuracy.
  • Timely responses to customer enquiries (telephone or email).
  • Supporting the sales team with general operations to help reach the team’s objectives.

You will be a proactive team player who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved whereever needs be within the sales function for the benefit of the team.

Skills required for this role are:

  • Experience in a sales administrator role
  • Experience in sales admin processes, using a CRM and understanding the sales cycle
  • Comfortable speaking to customers and enquiring on updates of quotes.
  • MS Office experience
